SAP Business One Consultant
About the Role
This is an exciting new Consulting Services role that has been created to service sustained growth in our SAP Business One practice.
The successful candidate will enjoy a diverse role within the LAKE Consulting Services team including the provision of application and technical support to customers through our award-winning Service Desk facility and participation in the delivery of projects and ad-hoc consulting services to customers.
We operate in a highly competitive market where there are few barriers to customers moving between alternative service providers, so service quality is paramount. We expect anyone joining the team to drive themselves to achieve the very highest quality of service.
Key responsibilities include:
- Delivery of ad-hoc consulting and training services to customers
- Participation in the delivery of customer projects to implement, upgrade or extend their systems
- Assistance in setup of presales resources and demonstration environments
- Recording and gathering of information related to Service Desk cases
- Triage of Service Desk cases to determine case type and priority which are key to driving automations and escalations within the business
- In depth analysis of cases and identification and agreement of next steps and resolution plans
- Close liaison with customers, and others within the LAKE business to communicate progress, request additional information, and generally move cases forward
- Detailed technical work to investigate and replicate customer issues and report these through to package vendors where appropriate
- Sharing of knowledge and expertise with other members of the team to build a skills and knowledge matrix
- Development of knowledge articles for review and publication to our Service Desk portal
The role is expected to be primarily home-based but may require travel to meet colleagues or deliver work at customer sites throughout the UK, sometimes at short notice, including overnight stays where appropriate.
Knowledge and Experience
This Consulting Services role requires an impressive mix of business and financial knowledge, technical knowledge, and interpersonal and consultative skills.
The successful candidate will have a good educational background and will have experience of implementing, supporting or administering SAP Business One.
Knowledge of MS SQL, SAP HANA, Boyum B1 Usability Package, and Crystal Reports would also be extremely beneficial, but is not essential.
