PeoplePlus is a leading employment support, training services and justice company, helping people across the globe to transform their lives and businesses through employment, training, education and financial advice.
For the past 15 years PeoplePlus has maintained records of supplier contracts with a bespoke system based on a combination of Microsoft Access and Windows file storage. During that time the company has grown considerably and following the merger of A4e and Avanta businesses in July 2015 the company saw an opportunity to move to a system that is more robust and would offer greater scope for the future.
Proactis Supplier Portal was implemented with a number of key objectives:
- to be used across the group that includes the former EOS, Avanta and A4e businesses
- hold all relevant data in one place
- store information about all contracts with funders, sub-contractors, and suppliers of goods and services
- allow the business to enquire and report on contracts
Eleanor Davis, Contract Manager Team Leader, outlines the benefits of implementing a Proactis solution from LAKE:
"The implementation of Proactis has allowed us to standardise and manage contracts across the board. It is a smarter way of working and will help us be much more productive. Proactis also offers massive potential to help our business going forward. The ability to alleviate risk by having suppliers maintain their own details is particularly attractive. And Proactis is more than just a contract management system, it is a comprehensive procurement system that offers much greater scope for the future.
One of the great things about LAKE was having someone who would act as a sounding board during the design and system build. The LAKE consultant understood our business, knew what Proactis could do and worked with us to deliver the right solution for our needs."
Operating from over 110 offices across the UK, the company employs more than 1,700 people representing job coaches, in-work support mentors, vacancy coordinators, employer relationship managers, enterprise advisors, skills tutors and more who are working to reduce unemployment.
