Tinplate Products has selected SAP Business One from LAKE to streamline its order processing and production processes. SAP Business One was chosen for its excellent fit as a solution for a growing manufacturing business. LAKE were chosen for their understanding, attention to detail and for the quality of the relationship.
Tinplate had outgrown their combination of Sage and Excel spreadsheets. Emma Hanson, Managing Director, explains:
“Tinplate has evolved as a business, growing as much as 20% year on year. With growth has come complexity, and our processes have been getting more and more complicated to manage. We achieved a lot using Excel but there are inherent inefficiencies in that approach. It had got to the point where it was consuming too much resource and could limit our ambitions to continue growing the business.”
The selection of a new ERP system was managed by an external consultant and following an extensive review of options LAKE were chosen from a shortlist of three potential suppliers. Trust and relationships were important factors in their choice of system, as Emma further explains:
“We are a small company without big IT resources, and for us system change is a leap of faith. We invest a lot of trust in our suppliers, so the relationship was a key factor in our choice of system.
