LAKE today announced that West Herts College is to implement a new financial management solution based on SunSystems and Proactis. LAKE were chosen for the flexibility of their solution and understanding of the college sector.
West Herts College operates from three campuses in Watford, Hemel Hempstead and Kings Langley and various community venues. It is also principal sponsor of Francis Combe Academy.
The college has been using its current finance system for a number of years. Though an upgrade was offered, the Finance team decided that the offer should be tested against other market leading options.
A representative of the college finance team comments:
“We have been looking to remove paper from our system for some time. This is in part driven by a desire to reduce costs, such as those associated with duplicate entry of data, and in part a desire to introduce self-service and improved workflow for budget holders.”
The college compiled a list of ten leading suppliers to receive an Invitation to Tender. Responses to that document enabled them to shortlist three for closer evaluation by representatives of the finance team and budget holders.
“SunSystems and Proactis were the most flexible and modern of the systems we looked at. They will help streamline the way we work, particularly with regards to management reporting. The modern look and feel will help ease the transition from the old system to the new.”
LAKE is a leading supplier to the college sector with more than 20 years experience.
